X-Ray
Operational-to-market diagnostic system for renewable assets, bridging plant behaviour, dispatch decisions, control signals, and settlement outcomes.
What it does
X-Ray is built around a single causal chain:
- market
- programme
- control
- plant behaviour
- settlement
Instead of reading an economic dashboard first and guessing the cause afterwards, it works in the opposite direction. It starts from the operating regime, tracks what happened at control and plant level, and then explains the economic outcome.
Scope
The system is designed as one engine with three views:
D-1for daily diagnosis and actionW-1for weekly patterns and operating regimesM-1for monthly monetisation, settlement, and persistent underperformance
Signals
It combines:
- market prices and service signals
- programme and dispatch information
- plant control behaviour
- telemetry and measurement data
- settlement and reporting outputs
What it is used for
- separating operational losses from market-driven effects
- identifying limiting regimes and control patterns
- explaining curtailment, deviations, and service-driven operation
- linking plant behaviour with monetisation and settlement results
Why it matters
Most reporting starts from the money and works backwards. X-Ray does the opposite. That makes it useful for diagnosis, not just for commentary.
Status
Internal system design and reporting layer in active use for asset diagnostics, follow-up, and operational review.
